First Trip in the bag!

Just got home from our little weekend trip in our New 2018 Whithawk MRB23. As we started our day, some of ya'll may have seen my post about blowing the 30 amp fuse when we went to pick our trailer from the storage. We ended up taking it back to the dealer and turns out I was raising the electric jack to high and the motor was heating up and blowing the fuse, lesson learned! Arrived at the campsite with no tow problems, back it in like I had done it 100 times. Took the trailer of the weight distribution hitch and ball, trailer started rolling backwards, saved by the chains which I not disconnected yet, forgot to chock the wheels, lesson learned! Rest of the day was a delight, used everything on the trailer without a glitch! Had no problems with our first dump experience. We did loose a rear bumper cap on the way home, no biggie. We have decided to take out the dinette booth and perhaps replace with a chair and ottoman. Others campers were very friendly, very helpful and loved our trailer. We head out again next weekend just to learn some more!

Inexpensive lessons!

(Full disclosure: The jack fuse has bitten many of us... more than once!
And the safety chains saved me once when I forgot my chocks!)

Glad it went well for you. Our first trip with our toyhauler last year went great except for one thing...Every time I tried to back into my spot, my horn would blast on my truck. Was really making me mad, and everyone was looking at us. Turns out, Dodge has a feature where you can't back up with your door open, or it will honk. Lesson learned. That was embarrassing...lol.
