FM radio started giving terrible crackling sound on Jayco 213 EXP

I have a 2010 Jayco Jay Feather 213 EXP with the stock radio system setup. The unit has worked fine until just recently. Now just the FM radio is getting bad reception and when I do get a station all of the sudden it will have a terrible crackling sound. If I watch a movie or stream audio from an Iphone into the front av input that all works fine. It seems to just be the FM portion. Does this mean my antenna is bad? Any ideas? Anyone else had similar problems? Does anyone know how I can find out which of the wires out of the back of the head unit is for the FM antenna? WHERE is the FM antenna on this trailer?

Thanks,

Sounds like an antenna issue, it should be marked on the backside of the radio, as far as where does it go, best to email Jayco with that question or see if another 213 owner might know. With any luck its a loose antenna connection and no big deal.

Looks like the FM antenna is shown in this JAYCO X213 roof photo at the edge of the roof. Small vertical whip with a spring in the bottom of it... Suspect this is either loose or has been wacked by a low overhanging tree limb...

Should be easy to take a look at it for damage...
