I pulled a 2012 197 (w/slideout) with our old 1997 Suburban 4x4, 5.7 auto. On a long trip (to Whitehorse from Regina, SK area), we usually got around 9 or 10 miles per Canadian gallon. I wasn't making any payments on the old Sub, plus we had lots of room for all our stuff. I shudder when I see a TV that is simply inadequate.

I will average 9.5-11 mpg when towing with my Duramax, 18.5-19 mpg when empty. I bought it to pull, not as an economy vehicle, and it darn well pulls. I don't care about the mileage. When it gets low, I fill it up and drive some more. If great mileage was a concern, I would sell the truck and rv and throw a tent in my Malibu. Not gonna happen...
