GoPower Solar Not Working - Fixed, but dear god.

Even when using the PDI checklist, I missed this. Solar control doesn’t read that there is a panel at all. Checked voltage at panel (22), then at controller (1). Ugh, wiring. Pulled GoPower port off roof and looked at the way Jayco connected trailer wiring to GoPwer whips….it’s not good. They connected ONE fing strand of the 10 gauge wire the connector. I fixed and it is working perfectly! Now I will have nightmares about the rest of the wiring in the TT, lol.

It's only half as bad as you made out, it appears they actually attached 2 strands and one broke off as seen in the 2nd photo. Lol.

I feel your pain. On mine they did not even hook the wires up. Took me as long to find the problem as it did to install the system.

Now I look at the solar controller when youtubers do the walkthroughs and I am like, "oop, that one isn't wired..."

I know how you feel. I went into my converter box (what a mess!) and found the 12 volt ground bar had never had the wire screws tightened. That was why I had phantom voltage problems the first year.

Guess I should probably check that! Is that down with all the breakers under the kitchen?

The k you for the heads up, beginning my solar install tomorrow and might as well open her up and check it out before wiring it up.
