Here is a Great Deal on a 2000 Watt Generator

Hey everyone,

I ran across this deal for a 2000 generator so I thought that I would post it. I bought one and it started on the first pull and has ran flawlessly for 3 hours so far. It is not as loud as a 2 stroke by far, and I doubt that it would actually put out 2000 watts, but it might work well for some folks.

I know... it is not a Honda and never will be. It is not a Yamaha and it never will be.

Some people may not want to pony up $1000 for a once or twice a year generator.

I will only be using this for Walmart or Casino parking lot overnights.

My 2 stroke 1000W genny worked well with my 184Bh, and it operated the AC, but it wouldnt run everything + it didnt have a large fuel capacity. I am fairly certain that this will do everything I need except the for the microwave and the AC at the same time. I also think that I can make it through the night with this one without refueling.

It will not run a rooftop AC. It is a cheap generator. It was worked well for me SO FAR. On Home Depot website it gets pretty good ratings. If you need a cheap generator that wont break the bank, and isnt 200 pounds... then you might try this one. It weighs 44 pounds.

My 184BH with the AC running, 3 lights, water pump, tv, and digital antenna runns 800 watts.

X

Great price for this generator. Be aware that 80 db will not make for good neighbor relations. However, if you are boondocking away from everyone this is a great deal.

2000 watts surge only 1500 running thats only 12.5 amps.. I would not risk my A/C on that unit...

Thanks for sharing, that genny db rating is pretty noisy and would not bode well if your neighbors in close proximity. As TNchuck said, if you are boon docking away from others it sound like a great deal. I run a 2000 watt invertor genny made by champion that has a 53 db rating and I have run it with close neighbors and they did not find it inoisy. They sell for $499.00

After running it for 3 hours, I do not believe the noise to be at 80db. My 2 stroke genny was 72 from 6 feet and this is less noisy than my 2 stroke.

That depends on if you are one of the people that ponied up $1000 and thinks that anything louder is unacceptable. For me... Generators are for boondocking only.

There a plenty of people who paid far more for solar systems and serious battery banks who complain about my Honda...which by the way I got used on CraigsList for $600.
