You've got me thinking now. When I removed the panel under our refrigerator to pick up a 12V+ feed for the ARP system I remember thinking about how large of a space was wasted under there since there's hardly anything under the refrigerator. Even though it's part of the slide, there should be no issue with storing items under there once we're set up to camp.

Sounds like a couple hinges and a cabinet catch are in my near future

I've read a bunch of posts but just signed up. SO, sorry about getting this on here so late. Love the FD, had ours for a year now. We use an over the door shoe organizer(from Target). Fits nicely at the foot of the bed. We left three cross bars out of the bottom and use the mattress to hold it against the wall. No interference while sleeping( at least doesn't bother me). Hope this helps. I went to "build" the over the table shelf, but wasn't keen on drilling into the wall. She's still my baby at this point.
