same problem here in Oklahoma. I have been using a portable, set on the 'couch' and vented imperfectly out the window. it works but kills a lot of space and is a heavy monster(11k btu).
looking for an upgrade that would fit in the existing hole was an epic fail.
I am thinking of trying a newer model of the same ac. it is the same btu, but the dehumidification increases from .8 pints/hr to 1.1. will 25% less humidity solve the problem? sigh, very discouraging, I don't want to cut the walls up in a 2013 camper.
existing model Frigidaire FRA052XT7 5,000-BTU Mini Window Air Conditioner
model I am considering: Frigidaire FFRA0511R1. Its a 5, 000 BTU 115V, $150 bux on amazon.
am considering just selling the thing, will never get a camper without roof air again.
