jayfeather sport 128 replacing hotwater heater

we are going to replace our hot water heater since it wasnt working when we bought it...my husband pretty much thinks he know what he is doing. anyone else do this to their travel trailer? we have the owners manual and most likely will order the original parts from the dealer and my hubby will do the work. he is in hvac and he assures me he can do it, but has anyone on here done it yet or do you have any advice?

Because he is in hvac, he has the necessary tools and won't have any problems - particularly if you stay with original replacement.

Honestly, they are pretty easy to swap out. Hubby will have no problem.

If I may... the whole thing not working? Or is it one part that is not working (works on gas but not on electric)? It may be easier to troubleshoot and find the cause then spend $400 on a new one (unless its split due to freezing).
