Lack of water pressure at kitchen sink

Last weekend we took out our White Hawk 28Dsbh on her maiden voyage to a state park 15 minutes from home. We have stayed in it in the yard but did not have water hooked up. When we went to the campsite, we get the water hose connected and test the water. At first, water at the kitchen sink is normal, but sputters a little bit like air is in the line. So we leave it running for a minute to get the air out. Then the pressure slows to a "steady trickle". I checked the bathroom sink and shower and the pressure is fine. We look under the kitchen sink, no leaks. What the heck? I'll make this story short....there was a piece of plastic or caulk that got caught in the faucet trap that was blocking the water. I assume the water pushed it down the pipe and it probably was in there since the camper was built. Go figure. It took us awhile to figure it out.

That's weird, because we had the same thing happen in our 27DSRL on our first outing.

Often there is debris in the tanks and lines of a new trailer. Sometimes it may take a while to appear at the strainer. That is the first thing I check when it happens.

Good you were able to fix it fast.

We had the same thing happen. Initially I thought it was the pump.

Explain faucet trap. My understanding of plumbing is such that a trap is the part of the drain that prevents sewer gas from entering the living space. Are you saying there is a trap on the supply side of the faucet??

Mcfarmall-you are correct the trap is as you described. Have you removed the aerator from the kitchen sink and checked it for blockage? I had the same problem with my 26Bh and found a piece of plastic blocking stuck against the back side of the aerator prevent the water from coming out. A piece of plastic must have fallen in the line during manufacturing and it finally decided to show up and announce itself as being there.

I assumed that the "trap" he referenced is the screen at the faucet. Not a trap on the drain side.

We had the same problem. Unscrew the kitchen tap screen and we saw a little bit of plastic. Rinced it off, problem fixed.

Mine did the same when I dewinterized. Pulled off the panel under sink door. There are 3 valves for winterizing. Turn one and it will get pressure and not suck air. I forgot about this from my walk through.
