I lucked out, my DW trusts me wit my decision on the LEDs.....$360.00 worth later. I bought mine thru a RV repair shop and mine are the 18 led flat panel with a spacer and screw. They are designed to replace the 921 and so far the ones that I have installed fit nice and snug without the screw mount modifications. They are a white light and man, the 6 I have installed so far...it is so much brighter....can't wait til I am finished....just have to wait for this weather to dry up. It was either been raining, snowing, windy, sleeting..I just want it to be dry for day on the weekend so I can open the bed slide to access 6 of the lights

Is it better to go back with some better/stronger 2 sided tape, or maybe get a small tube of silicone caulk.

Surely I can't be the only one. To have this issue.

Thanks,

X
Automotive 2 sided tape.. and clean the mounting surface with denatured alcohol.

I installed the 48 LED boards. I had a number of the foam bases shrivel up and fail. I went to the one of the labs at work and picked up some double face thermally conductive tape (3M product I think #8805??). I put it on two lays thick and it has held quite well.

I bought LED replacements at quartzsite a month ago. Straight fit into the 921 socket. No tape or screws. 330 lumens warm white. No heat issues. So far very happy.

I'll be going to pick up my camper for the dealership this week. I should also be getting my new solar array, and new LED bulbs in the mail in the next couple of days.

I'll have to install the new Max Air vents, add a couple new outlets (one 12v and 1 AC). I also want to permanently wire up a quick connect for the solar array. After than, I'm ready for camp season 14!

What kind of money did you pay for these. What you have is what I want to do.

The lights were 15.00 each with lower prices for quantities 6 and above. The vendor was EEZRV Poducts. They had a tent selling them and also will ship. eezrvproducts.com

Hey X, I have the 48 SMD Warm White LED Light Panels, and the fake 3M tape scorched/shrivelled up and disappeared in some cases. I have since bought true 3M tape and so far so good. If it happens again I plan to use high temp silicone product next.
