As of this post 4 people has voted that they have Delamination of walls and or floors within 5 years of ownership, this may seem very insignificant to you, but if any of these trailers was out side of the warranty. What do you think it would cost to have them fixed? The 4 people that voted are just people that’s on this fourm, how many people nation wide do you think has this same problem? Who will be # 5 ? Not me, I have a stick and tin trailer.

529 looked at the poll .....

11 votes....(7) 63% had no delam 5 after years and up (4) 36% experienced the problem.

I dont know what to do with the 518 members who didn't vote ?

Anyway I was expecting better response to a poll like that that,I've raised my expectation way too high, despite that its fairly easy to vote ...but hey no wonder the industry can surf over the wave of peoples asking for better quality...

anyway thanks to the participant

Moderator, you can close this topic if you wish, thanks

It is likely many of those that viewed the thread were "guests" (just about any given time there are many more guests viewing the forum then logged on members) who could not vote or were members that do not own a liteweight unit so had no reason to vote. Others just do not participate in polls for whatever reason. I once noted that we had over 10,000 members but only a few hundred had ever voted in the tow vehicle poll of that time. Clearly more folks then that owned tow vehicles, but not everyone views or votes in the polls.

Crabman, I've noticed that too on other boards, not only here, but its always strange to me when peoples refused to share their knowledge or experience to others. Maybe its not the case here but its certainy the case on the TV poll that you were mentioning.

Thats the only weapons we have against the big outfit ...but hey, we need all kind of peoples to keep this big blue ball turning :-)

I have a HT 5th wheel, will be going on fourth season with it this year, no signs of delamination but I have gone through about 4 tubes of sealant repairing the seams before they became a problem. I could see a lack of maintenance causing leaks in a matter of 5 years being a real problem.

I have owned my trailer for only 2 years, no delamination.

Couldn't vote because I don't fit either choice.

Like Nighthawk, I don't fit either choice so I didn't vote.

My take on the poll - Member of JOF that could read, but had no vote:
> Anyone that didn't/doesn't own a trailer.
> Anyone with a 'stick & tin' trailer no matter how long they've owned it.
> No delamination, but either didn't own, or haven't owned, the trailer for at least five years - regardless of the age of the trailer.

(I didn't review the entire thread. I apologize if these were already mentioned.)

I realized after the fact that many peoples couldn't vote, so be it for my poll my bad I screw up there.

My point is that we had two members here who werent happy with their trailer, and I can undersand why they were sharing on numerous occasions their opinion and experience and I thanks them very much for that.

However their story was like only one side of the coin, and I wanted to get some feedback from other members to see if the experience shared by the unhappy members was the experience of the majority.

I should have found a way to record the amount of ultra lite or lite owner that visited the thread....anyway the result of this scientific poll.....showed that for this time the problem isn't catastrophic since 71% of the voters never experience delamination after 5 years and up...thats the other side of the coin I was looking for but ( 28% had problem within 5 years thats sad )

My take on that is that it is safer to go with stick and thin for the long term but since peoples are trading often, fiberglass is the way to go for the look, ease of washing waxing to avoid dent and to save on gas. All valid point .To each is own :-)

Thanks to the one who participate :-) thanks also for not beating me over my poor frenchglish

We have a 2015 Ultra-Lite White Hawk 25BHS that is only a few months old so I can't vote in the poll but I am interested to hear if many owners are having lamination problems. The laminated walls, light weight and floor plan sold us on that model.

Moisture/Temperature and lack of maintenance on the owner. So guys, maintain your TT a bit closer. We all are ok.
