looking to ad stabilization 184BH

I'm looking to add scissor stabilizer jacks to my 184BH, I never feel like the stock ones with the tongue jack keep it steady enough, and I'd like to be able to use them to level too.
Should I use 2 or 4 and where would you place the front ones.

I plan to attach them either with self tapping bolts or U-bolts.

Thanks for the advice.

You should be able to add the scissor jacks though if you have a standard model and not the lifted Baja model you may have some clearance issues on the rear when transitioning into/out of parking lots, etc.

Another option would be to get a set of jack stands that don't require attachment to the trailer frame such as this --> Ultra Stacker Jacks, Set of 4 - Ultra-Fab 48-979004 - Stabilizing Jacks - Camping World

This would alleviate any clearance concerns.

If you do add them they should be used for stabilization only and not leveling. Use leveling blocks under the tires for side to side leveling and the tongue jack for front to back leveling. Once the unit is level then lower the scissor jacks enough to stabilize the unit. If you try and lift the unit with the jacks you can potentially bend the frame.

I have the four-corner jacks on my 195RB Baja which is basically the same frame style as the 184BH. Here are a few pictures of where and how those are installed. The first two are a front jack and the last two are a rear jack.

Did you add the two to the front or does the baja edition come with them?

Is your txt a swift SLX? We have a 2013 swift SLX 185RB we added scissor jacks to the front. Much more stable. We used the Bal Lo-Pro 24. There is a place on the frame for them. Can put pics if you would like.
