Making the bed !@&?!!

I just finished making the bed in our 23RL Jay Feather. A new record. It only took me 45 minutes. Has anyone out there with one of these supposedly “walk around” queen beds figured out an easier way to make the bed?

We don't tuck in anything.. The bottom sheet is elasticized.
Maybe I should rent my hubby. He can do it in 90 secs flat.

If you are looking for Army style tightness and bounce the quarter good luck

I've thought about the sleeping bag thing . We always have them in the trailer cellar but I do like linens vs nylon.

We don't consider that a problem. Either me or my wife, mostly her, can make ours up in a couple of minutes.

Maybe the OP is addressing a full bed change. I excuse myself from the TT for that exercise. He's got longer arms to get the bottom sheet around the mattress in the front end.

Wait'll you try it with a 10" mattress instead of the original 6" piece of crap!!

DW and I can make the bed in just a few minutes, working together.

Enjoy!

We pull the mattress down towards the bottom, slip the fitted sheet corners around the top end, then slide it back up and finish the bottom corners. Done together it takes a minute or less.

Sounds like way too much work.

We have a 26BH, and my wife (Snorezilla) sleeps in the rear bunk, and I sleep in the Queen up front. I have a queen sized air mattress with a bedspread on it, and I sleep in a sleeping bag on top of it. To make the bed, I just roll up the sleeping bag, and hide it under some pillows and pillow shams at the head of the bed. Takes about 40 seconds.

If you are the last one out of bed: Lay in the middle on your back, legs together and hands to sides, pointing up. Spread eagle. Flip the corner and carefully crawl out of bed. Perfect! :-D

OH, the "BED DREAD"!!!! I agree with RogerR...that's the plan of attack that works best for me. The distance between the bed and the bathroom wall is only wide enought for "Flat Stanley". I put a 2" foam topper and an extra thick mattress pad on the Jayco mattress; now it's only half as hard as a brick! Making the bed can be done: consider it your workout for the day and treat yourself to a cookie!!!

Yup. That's how we do it. 11" memory gel queen. It's definately easier/faster with 2 people!

I'm glad we didn't opt for the king bed! (we wanted the little night tables on either side)

We pull the mattress down, install the bottom fitted sheet at the top, than push it back up and hook the other end you can get to. Top sheet and blankets just go on.

X2
In addition my DW made the top sheet fitted at the bottom. After the fitted sheet goes on as above and we've pushed the mattress back up we slide the bottom of the top sheet on the bottom of the mattress and then just tuck in the sides.

Great advice! Thanks. I guess my first mistake was trying to do it all by myself. It’ll just become quality time that we spend together.

When I acquired my 23RL just 13 short days ago, I fixed the "walk around" problem...I transferred the residential mattress from my previous unit into the new one. Now you can't 'walk around' it at all. It only has 13 'nights' on it, and no reason to let a $600 investment stay at Camping World. Have not 'made the bed' yet, but it looks simpler than the Salem Cruise Lite 241QBXL was. At least the 'closets' are up off the edge of the bed.
