Murphy bed with slide in?

Those of you with a 23mbh can you drop your Murphy bed with the slide in? Mine seems to be literally a half an inch away from doing so and it almost seems like an engineering error that it can't. It just rubs on the trim on the side of the slide.

I have not tried it but the clearance looks okay. There's also a sticker on my slide or bed that says not to do this

I have that sticker as well, and like you said the clearance looked ok so I gave it a shot just out of curiosity. It is just so close it seems almost a shame that it won't go down. It would come in handy in Walmart parking lots, and rest stops being able to sleep in bed in these sorts of places where bringing out the slide is either not possible or frowned upon.

Old post but we just had an issue with this. In a cabela's lot next to a tractor trailer with a refer that cycled on and off every 10 minutes. In an effort to move our rig we pulled in the slide with the murphy bed down and broke a piece of the slide out trim off. It had happened before as it was a bad repair done on it.
