New 2012 213 / slide problems?

We just put money down on a left over 2012 X213 saturday. After reading many post on issues with the big slide on 2011 models and older, I'm wondering if Jayco corrected this in 2012 or might I have the same problem to look forward too? Anybody out there own a 2012 X213? Do you like it?

Yes, I have the 2012, bought it in Feb last year. Camped many weekends and a couple week long trips. I haven't had any problems. I always make sure my trailer is level before opening or closing it up. It does have a manual crank for back up if needed. We absolutely love our trailer, I only wish that thy installed lights for the slide out. I bought a package of battery operated led puck lights with a remote light switch from Costco that are stick on that work really well.

Cool. That's good to know. Yeah, I wish they had LED lights in the awning too. They were optional in the KZ Spree we were looking at too. We liked the Jayco brand better though and got a deal on the left over x213 that we couldn't pass up. Can't wait to go camping! This is our first trailer. Been tent campers all our lives. Is there any pitch control in the awning? Or is it just straight out?

There are adjustments on the awning arms, never had to use them. You just have to remember to put them back in the original location before retracting it. The awning has a auto dump feature if it rains and believe me it was tested really good on a couple outtings.

Sorry, I should mention that I usually roll mine straight out. I would retract it if there was any threat of heavy wind since it is supported by the arms only. A cool feature that I noticed after a few trips out is te light for the step. It's not bright but it still illuminates the step when you turn on the outside light.

We have a 2011 X213 and have had no problems with the slide. With our awning you can adjust the slope and still roll it up without putting it back into the orginal position. Enjoy the X213. We love ours.

New 2012 213 / slide problems?

We also have and love our 2012 x213. We did have some slide out issues, despite the new motor. The issues was a bad squealing noise. The dealership here fixed it under warranty. Apparently the track wheels needed some realignment. Works great now and was never bad enough to stop us camping before it got repaired. As for the cause, we live in the Yukon and the roads here are Not the greatest, smoothest or straightest.

Enjoy.
