We ordered our 2014 SLX 185 in Nov. 2013 and took delivery on Mar. 8 2014.
Purchased from RV Direct (Orlando RV) with a price that no other dealers could touch.
During our demo we noticed two fantastic upgrades. The first was the Frigidaire A/C unit didn’t have nobs but was digital with auto thermostat.
The second unexpected upgrade was that all of the interior lights are LED lights.
My wife thought I was odd for being so excited about the LED’s but I guess it’s a guy thing.
After the demo we had the dealer install front stabilizers and our Weight Distribution Hitch and off we went. We are pulling with a 2002 Chrysler Town & Country minivan and all went well.
We are camping noobs as we have never owned a travel trailer before.
Our first camp was the following weekend (2days) at Florida’s Myakka State Park site #49 w/full hookup.
Being new at this setup took us about an hour because we took our time.
For the past 3 months I was reading all of the posts here, I was ready for something not to be right.
We are happy to say that everything worked as advertised and not one problem.
The outside temp was 82 degrees Fahrenheit and A/C cooled the TT down to 75 degrees. The Fridge works well at 34 deg.
Hot water heater worked well. Took a while to light but then I remembered from these forums that I had to bleed the line first by lighting the stove burner inside and all was fine.
The shower and toilet were adequate.
We will be camping at Myakka State Park on April 16 thru 20th 2014 one more time because it’s only 45min from home.
We have all of you here to thank for your input. Thank You.
