New Jayco 24RKS
I just bought a 2015 Jayco 24rks. Seems to fit my family perfect. Our first trip was from Tennessee to Destin, Florida drove 65mph towing it with a 2015 Nissan Titan with a Equalizer wdh. It towed great. I am looking forward to camping in it with the family. Our next trip will be the great smokey mountains, Gatlinburg Tn.

The 24RKS is a good choice and it does look good with your truck. What kind of mileage have you gotton so far with the nissan?

I usually get 15 mpg average, but towing the camper I was getting around 10 to 11 mpg.

Check your tires. Most new TT's have ST tires that are rated for 65mph. Aside from that Welcomr to the Jayco family.

Good point. That's why I never got over 65 mph. I also ran my tires a few lbs. under max inflation so when they heat up on the road they won't blow. The weight distribution hitch needs a little tweaking also. The dealer did a rush job on it. I tweaked it before I left, but it still needs some adjustment. I appreciate any advice I can get. This is my first camper and have a lot to learn. I want to be safe and have fun with it.

Hi - we're RV newbies - just bought a 2015 24RKS and are trying to prep for 1st trip. Going through each appliance while still at home. Noticed microwave has no life plugged into household 110/120 outlet - 20 amp breaker is fine. Been told that it requires the RV Park 30 Amp power to work. Has that been your experience? I hope that's the only problem. Wonder if there's anything online in writing to support this explanation.

Running them under inflated WILL heat them up.
Inflate to proper pressure.
Tires need proper pressure, balanced, and know the speed rating. These are probably the three main reasons for failure(especially tt tires).

You were told wrong!!
Is micro plugged in, breaker tripped, possible little fuse in breaker panel.
Could even be a faulty new micro.
Keep us informed.

Hello and welcome. You did what is known as excavating, by replying to a thread that is 5 years old. 
I agree with Paul, though. The microwave doesn't require 30 amp service. Check if the GFCI is tripped in the bathroom, and the AC circuit breakers.
