New Jayflight 185RB SLX

Hello all Jayco owners. I just brought home my new, 2016, 185RB SLX. She? (not sure yet if it's a he or a she - the first trip will tell in how it treats me) is parked on the side of the house getting some mods and loaded for the maiden voyage in early October. Hubby and I have owned everything from tents to toy haulers in our time. This is "my" trailer this time around, a downsize from the last 26 foot toy hauler we used with our kids. Empty nest now so it was time to get one smaller for just the two of us. Looking forward to the first trip. Love the ideas and suggestions on the forum.

HI: Bought a 185RB SLX for just me to take hunting in spring and fall. Did not like idea of such a small fresh water tank, but, it pulls great, sits lower than I care for, but over all a very good camper. I put the second battery, and the second LP tank on due to hunting where there is no 110. Replaced major lights I use with LED. Some not as good as I thought, but useable. Don't need extra mirrors, have an F150 extended cab, with eco. Mileage and power acceptable. Overall am trying to figure out how to install drawers in cabinet near bathroom. Too much hunting junk. lol. Had a blow out on riders side tire coming back this past spring. Dented up the wheel well a little but camper has only about 1500 miles on it since I bought it in March of 12. I feel you will like it. The one bed and crawling over to get to floor may be a little rough if more than one person. I hunt by myself, so no problem. 3 way refrig, manual light water heater is no problem for me. Maybe a lot less expense down the line. Have fun enjoy and if you come up with any ideas for drawers etc drop me a line. I would appreciate it. Sincerely Don Elwell
