New tow vehicle for our skylark

Hello all. Been a while since I logged on. We bought a new tow vehicle today. Got rid of the liberty and got a Tacoma. Hopefully it will pull a little better when We go on longer trips. Anyone have opinions on the Tacoma?

From my reading of some of the groups if you are towing near the Tac's max weight limit be prepared to replace the rearend...

I was towing with a 2010 4 runner. Think it is the same v6 as the Tacoma. I pulled the skylark about 10,000 miles with that suv. You won't have any problems towing, but personally did not like the strain on hills. The great thing is that you should get near 15 mpg. Hope this helps you and good luck with new vehicle.

Thanks guys. We'll be sticking with the skylark for at least this coming season. I think...

I am a huge fan of Toyota. Although I bought a silverado which I love I also looked at the Toyota trucks. We just sold our commuter car which was a 93 Corrolla. It has 650,000 km on it, and I won't be surprised if it went a million. I saw a Tundra I wanted to buy but when I went back to the lot to purchase it someone had already bought it. The new ones were out of my price range.
