New trailer and new RV-er 2021 166FBS

Pick it up on Thursday. Pretty excited and a tad overwhelmed researching on how to prep myself. Found a few good YouTube videos, but open to any recommendations from this site.

+1

Take it slow and easy. And maintain a positive attitude. Stuff will break. How you handle that has a huge impact on how enjoyable an experience you will have.

Welcome to the club!!

Congrats and welcome to JOF! My 2 cents: Become best friends with the “search” button above and make JOF your second home. Virtually everything you will be curious about has been addressed here. You will be amazed at how much you’ll learn. And you’ll feel much more comfortable!

Congratulations and welcome.

Make your first camping trip in your back yard or driveway. That way you can run into the house and get all the little things you forgot to pack in the trailer. DAMHIKT.

Don't do it!!!!!^^^^^^.
Go to a place close by, that way you'll get real world experience. I've go 30+years in tt camping and have never camped in driveway, too easy to skip steps or say I'll remember. It's more fun and adds to campfire stories. Also, hopefully you'll have the experience of fellow campers.
JMHO and real world experience.

X2, I will add, try out everything at home. Makes your first trip less stressful as you know the basics of how it works when your not under pressure to get dinner going!

FYI, if the dealer did not do it, the oven and furnace the first time you light them off, will stink up the TT for an hour or more (keep the windows and door open)

No oven in this model. Ran the furnace for a bit and no smell.

Like it so far! Only “issue” at pickup was the sofa cup holders not being able to support the individual swing tables. Turned out Jayco had not screwed the plastic holders into the plywood underneath. Each cup holder had 4 holes in the bottom for this reason, so 3 minutes and 8 screws later we were good to go.

Ahh cool! Did you add any of the factory options such as solar and roof rack? Any chance you could take a pic of the sticker that says what the cargo capacity is? That would be awesome! Enjoy the new camper
