We looked at Goodwill, but ended up just picking up a 16-pc set of Corelle for $25 at Target.

The sets we saw at Goodwill (multiple stores) were heavier ceramic.

YMMV

Why not take your household stuff you're using now, put it in the camper and let your wife buy new. You get the camper stocked and get brownie points with the wife.

Good idea however from a wife's point of view here, I have good stuff in the house that would be too nice or heavy for a trailer. I went to Big Lots for many things. Cheap and light.

I tried that and my wife fussed at me for spending money...and the new stuff was over 50% off! Go figure.

I have to admit.... I did buy new dishes for the house and put the old Corelle set in the camper. However after somehow not latching the cabinet door tight before a trip home, those Corelle dishes ended up mostly broken
