open for the season

Well, it was a balmy 65 degrees here in Rochester, so today was the day to open the camper. We removed the cover and began the repacking process, while the wife and kids were doing this I removed the old tank sensors and installed the new horst miracle probes. Quite a bit of work, the old probes are in there quite solidly, overall took about an hour, installed the battery and voila... tanks read empty not 2/3 full. For those of you with 228's the topmost probe on both tanks is partially blocked by frame members, just makes it a bit tougher to get at. The old probes have a lip on the inside of the tanks and removing them is difficult. Reinstalled the Tv and installed the inline signal meter to pinpoint antenna direction during setup. Went to Target tonight and picked up a few plastic storage cabinets for the closets, very productive few hours. When we get closer to Mother's day, the first trip this year, will hook up the battery and ensure everything is ready to roll, and finish dewinterizing all systems. Can't wait to get camping...
