The forecast in St Paul this week is for 8" of snow! The dealer de-winterized the trailer, so I am nervous about the low temps this week will be down to 25 on two nights?
I live 25 miles from the dealer, so my first impression of how it tows is it did well. I think I will be happy with it. I am use to pulling a popup. I am using a WDH Equalizer, I feel like it is set up right. The diesel Jeep worked harder but did fine.
I will post more photos on Sunday.

Welcome to the Skylark Family
I picked up mind, a used one but very lightly used one a month ago. Livin in Alabama, so our camping season is a little earlier then yours. I haven't taken ours out yet but its a couple weeks away. I have gone thru mine with a fine tooth comb and I am inpressed with the trailer. We moved up from a hardsided pop up, so my wife have found all kinds of space now. Would like to get a circle of Skylark owners together to help each other out. Jayco stop making them to my understanding so there is about two years worth of production out there somewhere.

welcome to the skylark club!!! my biggest pet peeve was, how low the trailer is... so i raised it 4 inches, inexpensive to do, cost $250, Love the clearance, no more bottoming out concerns. What i love about the trailer, the kitchen space, awesome. Enjoy the trailer.

New Skylark (2011) 21 FBV
We bought our new Skylark 21 FBV on March 16th, and the next day we headed out across BC (from Cranbrook to Texada Island). There was a lot of snow and ice on our trip, and the Skylark pulled really well. We have been camping in it for a month now, and we both really like it. It has a lot of storage space and I like the big bathroom in the front.

We picked up our used 2012 Skylark 21FKV in February (2013) and have taken two trips with it so far. What a great and comfortable TT.

We have the same trailer. So far it has travelled from New Hampshire to Florida three times. Went north as far as Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia. Thinking I have logged well over 20,000 miles. Our last trip we had 4134 miles. No problems. My wife and I spent a little over a month on one trip and am here to tell you there is plenty of room and we never felt crowded or lacking for space. I am hoping you enjoy yours as well as we enjoy ours. Great little trailer, we love it.

cold weather
We were in Gettysburg Pa this past March. Temp outside was 22 degrees. The water in my hose going from water supply to trailer froze, but with heat on in trailer we were cozy and fine. Have the furnace vs heat pump. Turn you thermostat down to lowest temp and keep your heat on in trailer, should be ok

My wife and I have had our Skylark 21 FKV for over two years now and love it. We had one warranty issue, the heat pump failed after about 6 months of use, but was covered under warranty. The new heat pump has worked very well even in colder temps. We did learn when the original heat pump failed during an early spring trip when the outside temp hit 32 that a 1000 watt electric space heater will keep the camper at 70 degrees without any problem. (Note: 1000 watts at 120 volts is only an 8.5 amp draw on your electric circuits.)
I discovered that on our 21FKV that under the seat next to the main bed there is a large amount of space behind the wheel well, that can easily be accessed through the plywood cover. By removing the two screws that hold the plywood in place, cutting the plywood in half, and adding a piano hinge and putting in a finger hole you can gain more than 6 cubic feet of storage space simply by lifting the seat cushion. I also placed a 1/4" plywood partition on the front of this space to keep gear from moving forward over the wheel well. We use it to store our portable vacuum, extra dog food and an electric space heater we had to purchase on the trip where the heat pump failed. (Note: a 1,00 Watt electric heater will keep the Skylark at a comfortable 70 degree temp even when the outside temp drops below 25 degrees.)
I also added a push button LED light in the storage compartment under the main bed so you can find things in the dark. I used one of the four spare circuits in the fuse panel for power.
To counteract the wear on the skids at the back due to the low ground clearance, I added short pieces of 2 x 2 angle iron to the skids with a single 1/4" bolt. Now if I drag the back, I can replace the sacrificial pieces for less than $2 a set instead of replacing the skids themselves.
Enjoy your camper.

Anyone out there try to mount anything on the inside walls of their Skylark? I want to install a TV mount on the wall just in front of the door, but don't want to damage anything inside the wall. Any suggestions or has anyone done this? Thanks.

We purchased a 2012 Skylark with the kitchen up front. We are going to put a themostat on the air conditioner so it will turn off and on. Running all the time is annoying. We love ours.

Our Skylark came with a thermostat to control the A/C. It shouldn't run all the time once it gets to the set temperature.
