Pre Purchase Suggestions Please

I'm about to purchase a Jayco travel trailer. I'm hauling it with a 2018 Expedition with the HD tranny and 3.73 rear end. I will have a tongue limit of 900 lbs and a GTW of 9200 lbs. I will need to sleep 4 grown men comfortably as I will be using this 50% business accommodations and 50% family vacation. I am looking at new but I am willing to look at a decent used Jayco travel trailer if it fits my needs and is road worthy. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

The limiting factor will be payload. At 900lbs available and using 13% of gross trailer get you a 7,000lb gross trailer.

We have a 26BH that is rated at 7500lbs, but I never have had to max out on weight. We usually are about 6,500 fully loaded.

Family of 4 is a good fit for a bunk house. You don't have to change the dinette or clean up bedding off the couch.

Four adults traveling gets the couch in use.

There are quad bunk units but I bet they will all have too much tongue weight.

How about a used Jayco X254? It has 4 bunks in the front and meets the weight criteria.
