purchased new truck and trailer

Well, we took the plunge...traded in our sport trac for a 2013 Silverado with the HD trailering package and then sold our 2011 Jayco 1007 and put that money towards a 2013 Jayco 23M. Whew! Spending that kind of money always makes me nervous but camping will take on a whole new dimension for us now. My wife is much happier having the bathroom facilities and a fridge that doesn't require her to get down on her hands and knees. We absolutely love the floor plan of this trailer, especially the murphy bed setup over the collapsible sofa. And having the rear door makes it possible to get to the washroom and kitchen when the slide is retracted. It's too late to get out this year so we'll anxiously wait for next season here in Canada's prairies. We'll already talking about returning to Waterton, Kananaskis, Banff, and Jasper next summer to see how well the truck can handle the load in the mountains. We thank all for the helpful advice we got in the towing and tech forums.

Let us know how you like the 23M. It is a brand new floor plan for the Jayfeathers. I walked this trailer at a show and found it to be a very cool layout. Enjoy camping with the new TV and TT, should be fun.

Congrats on your new TT and TV. We did pretty much the same as you, just different TT and TV. We still have a couple more months to camp......really enjoying this new experience!

Bought ours a2-3 weeks ago, drove it home and opened it after the rains stopped, and found a tear in the NEW CAMPER TENT.
Had to wait until NEXT Saturday, to take back to dealer. Taking the entire tent off, sending back to factory for repair, the back to Florida for re-installation. Have not camped yet. Maybe will have back before October.
Looking forward to pictures of everyone's camping trips.

sounds like a great set up!! As for not camping this Fall on the prairies, I think you're short changing yourself... we will camp here in frigid Manitoba until the end of October... IMHO, Fall camping is the best camping all year! no bugs, few neighbours, warm days, cool nights... just fire up that new furnace and enjoy it!

congrats on the new truck and trailer!
