I am currently here in Quartzsite at La Posa South. Been here 2 months, staying until April. I love it here. This year is busier then several previous years.
I am having a blast! Met lots of new people. Fun activities happening all the time.
They are building (in Jan) a new multi dump station in Tyson Wells Posa.
There are more vendors setting up every day.
If you don't like big (fun) crowds, this isn't the place for you

I forgot about the 4th LTVA at La Posa Wash. So, 2 on the west side of US 95, La Posa West and La Posa Wash, with 2 on the east side, La Posa North, and La Posa South.
Another dump station will definitely take some of the pressure off! Spower, I've missed 4 years running, last there in 2018, so if anything I've said is not the way it is now I would love to have corrections!

We had planned to leave today for Quartzsite, but the weather between here and there hasn't been conducive to travel. Plan now is to leave next Saturday (the 21st). Probably on Q for a few days, but not on any schedule, so we'll see. A YouTuber posted a 20 minute trip through Quartzsite, the big tent (bigger this year) and down through La Posa West and La Posa Tyson Wash. Pretty clear the new dump/water station won't be done this season, sorry to say.

We will likely be in La Posa South, but may not get there before you leave, as we are in no hurry.

The "Big Tent" will be open from Jan 21 thru Jan 29. The tent comes down soon after the 29th.

They used to hold a large classic car show in the tent for a few days after the regular "Big Tent" event. Not sure what year that stopped, but probably quite a few years ago. In 2008 we were at that car show when a huge wind came along. That was the only time I got to see them strike the tent. Got all the cars out and the tent down in nothing flat!

That wind you refer to brought down a portion of the tent and did a lot of damage to a few classic cars. I think that was the end of the car shows.
There also used to be a crafts show that drew a lot of people. All that has ended a long time ago. Once the tent comes down the town starts to slowing dry up as far as vendors go. Kenny King was the driving force behind the Big Tent RV Show. After he died a couple of years ago things began to change. There were also a lot of RV dealers represented at the show, now there is only one.
It's still a huge attraction, but nothing like it used to be.

Got me to go looking. The May 14, 2013 issue of the Desert Messenger contains an announcement that both the crafts and car shows were cancelled for the future (would have been 17th and 16th annual in 2014, respectively).

Quartzsite: We expect to arrive mid-afternoon tomorrow (Wednesday) and will likely stay 4 days. If anyone else is down there would love to see you, either for a visit or camp with us. Particularly other Micros! The map below shows where we expect to be; location is approximate since there is no way to know who may already be in/around that spot, but a Micro should be very obvious from the road, This is a short distance past the end of the pavement in La Posa South.

I'm over off of Plomosa on the north side of town. Didn't pick it, am visiting with a set of friends who did. Lots and lots of RVers over here.

We stopped by yours today (at least I assume it was yours, probably not many Micro 166s with 'Bama plates out there) but nobody home. If it was yours, there was a minimal note in the door handle.

We also left Saturday, wanted to get out before the weather turned poor. Currently sitting in Banning waiting out the rain, then down to San Diego. I'm guessing you have been to Deadhorse before, but if not it is a nice campground, and of course good access to both Jerome and Sedona. Long ways up to GC though. Planning on going back to 17, or the scenic run up 89?
