Replacement lightbulbs for X17Z

Hey everyone,

My wife and I just purchased a brand new 2014 Jayco X17Z! We're headed out on our first trip next weekend with our 2 girls, ages 5 and 7. I'm going through my list of tools/parts to have on hand and figured it would be nice to have extra lightbulbs.

Can anyone link me to a place where I can buy replacement lightbulbs for my X17Z?

Also, I popped off the plastic cover for one of the lights and wasn't sure how the bulbs come out. Do I just pull the glass bulb itself or the plastic housing it's connected to?

I searched around but didn't find a thread with this topic. Thanks in advance!

- Scott

Congrats and WELCOME to JOF!!

You will find a lot of friendly and informative folks here.

Yes you just pull on the bulb to pull it out. I would think you should be able to find replacement bulbs from any RV store or try Camping World.

Cool, thanks. I'll just pull one out and try and match it up. I wasn't sure how to search exactly since "lightbulb for jayco x17z" doesn't show much. I'm assuming these bulbs are pretty standard/generic so finding some spares shouldn't be too bad.

The bulbs should be 921....that is what we have in our X213...all switched out to LEDs now. Easier on the battery when dry camping

Thank you! I've verified in my manual that they are indeed 921. Looks like these are the ones - camping world link. Sounds like switching them out for LEDs might be a nice option.

Lots of threads here on LEDs. Many of us bought flat panel replacements that have 48 LEDs from E-bay. I paid $21 for 15 bulbs. So far they've been great.

I think I bought some spare 921's at an auto parts store. Right afterwards I went with LED.

You should be able to find 921 bulbs at Walmart or any other big box store in the auto section by the other light bulbs. Might be cheaper than CW.

Thanks, I bought some replacement bulbs on Amazon. Got a 10 pack for $7. I'll start with these and then maybe switch to LED's at some point. Thanks everyone!

WARNING when you pull the bulbs out to look at use a kleenex the oil in your fingers will etch the glass and cause the bulb to blow out in short order..
