Shower Curtain for Sport165

Our shower curtain is attached to a track with sliders. The sliders are part of the curtain. Has anyone replaced this kind of shower curtain and if so what did you do?

Shower Curtain for Sport165

Eager to hear responses in this one. I have a 23b, and curtain is the same. The DW wants to remove it and get a new rod and curtain that would add some additional room to the shower.

I would measure it and see if I could just put a household bowed rod in.
I would probably use screws to mount, but I have used plumbers putty on tile in my house to mount same.

Best regards,
Doug

Good idea, Doug!

Looked on internet and could not find anything similar to replace what we have. And the slides are just for this curtain; they cannot be removed.

So Marilyn says.... take it off and lets wash it....WHAT after just three years! I removed one end screw from ceiling track and slid off curtain. We washed it and looks pretty good, although there is still some crud on bottom. I am now taking apart the hem at bottom of curtain so I can remove the crud in it. Then Marilyn says she will sew it back up. We'll see.

A new, more colorful, curtain is the best approach with appropriate slides/pole. I have all winter to work on this.

Really easy.. here are the steps..
1. Using a stich ripper, or a razer blade, carefully remove the trim piece with the slides from the existing shower curtain.
2. lay the trim along the top edge of a new, pretty, vinyl curtain, trim off the excess curtain with scissors.
3. Sew the trim piece onto the new shower curtain using a regular sewing machine with a wide stitch. If you don't sew you could probably attach it with household goop and it would likely stick o.k. but sewing would be best.
4. Rehang the new curtain for a new look.
I have included photos of the makeover of our trailer, which shows the bathroom makeover you can do with the curtain. Scroll to the bottom of the post to see the bathroom. The towel bar in the picture is from "Primitive Home interiors" for those who want to know... It's a very easy mod.. Have fun.. Here is the link to the photos. Also I have included a photo of a stitch ripper.

Lady, great mods...thanks for sharing. Very nice work. I'm 6'3 and barely fit in the x23b shower...so I'm looking to get a new shower head and also trying to extend out the shower, a little. I've been looking at solutions like this for the shower curtain, though I don't think this will work exactly...but I'm thinking http://www.campingworld.com/shopping...e-finish/44143

I would suggest purchasing the same track that held the original curtain and attaching it in curve that arcs out past the shower/tub. You can also buy the trim with the clips if you need a wider shower curtain to accommodate this approach..

Most hybrid trailer showers do present a challenge, however you got me thinking and I found this. http://www.amazon.com/ZPC-Zenith-Pro.../dp/B004VLVV0M

Where can I get more track? I guess I'll need to screw the new track into the ceiling, right?

Ok so here is the link for replacement glide tape.. http://www.campingworld.com/shopping...tape-72-/14763
And here is the link for replacement track http://www.campingworld.com/shopping...96-white/49057
Yes you skew it into the ceiling.. try and use new holes and seal the old ones with white silicone.

Bikester, I installed one of those shower curtain rods in my X213 and I have all kinds of room, well as much as you can in one of those enclosures. When not in use, it folds back into the tub enclosure and you can hang wet clothes on. Will attempt to post a picture when DW gets home from work, she has them on her camera.
