Slx 185rb question

Have a 2014 swift slx 185rb, hasn't been used yet, just getting it ready to go. My question is do any of you use the Honda or Yamaha 2000 watt generators with your 185? Is it big enough to run your window mount ac? I really want a very quiet generator and these seem to be the ticket, just curious if I need to go bigger. Love the OBX, but will need the ac for the warmer months. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

I have the 184BH which is the same size etc as the 185rb. I have a Yamaha EF 2000 IE Inverter. It has no problem running the window AC or any other features in the trailer. Haven't tried running the AC and microwave at the same time but I suspect it will do it. Yes, and it's very quiet. In fact, I pull the shore cord all the way out and plug it into the gen, w/AC running, I can't hear the gen... Honda or Yamaha are just fine, little expensive but you get quality.

There was just a big thread on here about generators with several suggestions.

I can confirm the Honda will run my 184BH. I do have the smaller AC unit so your results may be a bit different.

Yes the Honda 2000w will run the AC. It runs the microwave as well....albeit under much more load.

Not sure if you'd be able to run both at the same time.

2000 champion runs it... As quiet as Honda and Yamaha but half the price. Doesn't have the surge capacity, but it will run the AC and microwave easy... Maybe not at the same time.

Supergenproducts.com. Look at the refurbished stuff.

I have to agree with xkuzme1. The Champion 2100 is a great deal and provides enough power for my 184BH. I find it to be just as quiet and reliable as the Hondas and Yamahas.
