SLX 212QBW Bed upgrade

Decided before we even take it out for it's first adventure, i wanted to deal with the sag to centre bed issue. First thing, dispose of the 1/4" plywood. Than using 2x3's , i built a wall from side to side seperating the outside storage from the inside, doubling up the 2X3's on the top cross beam for added support. Did notice that the door side of the bed was off about 1/4 to 1/2 an inch (shocked?..no), was going to remove all the screws into the floor and square it, but on second thought, nope, could just be opening up a whole new can of worms. Than i ran a second pair of 2x3's from my new wall to the beam on front of trailer, using L brackets to secure, plus 2 single 2X3's on each side near the fake cabinets. Now....brainfart, had bought a 4X8 sheet of 1/2 inch plywood, thinking, no problem, just cut the length to 6'. Dah ....bed is wider than 4'. Darn, Holiday Friday, everyone is closed. Well, had an extra piece of 1/2" sitting in garage, so worked out good. Worked for my original intentions, as i wanted to just hinge the front inside section of the storage. So, cut 3 pieces, 2 which i screwed down permanately on the front, than the one piece section at the foot of the bed i added two new longer hinges. Worked like a charm .... stapled a piece of 4X6 vinyl chair covering to prevent any contact between hinges and mattress, put the mattress back on and both of us layed down on it .... solid as Sears, and much easier to lift with just 1/2 the bed lifting up. May not even add the struts.... will have to see.
