Soon to be (hopefully) fellow Jayco owner

Hi all,

Looking at my first trailer and have found what appears to be a nice 2006 Jayco Jay Feather Sport 165. Only damage is a dime size ding in the back of the trailer and apparently a stain on the floor inside the bathroom.

I have two young kids (3 and under) and me and my wife are looking forward to picking this up and hopefully creating a lot of memories.

I’m posting a link to the Craigslist post. Any tips, tricks, things to look for, etc. would be greatly appreciated and welcomed!

If all goes well this will be ours Saturday morning. Forgot to mention, will be towing with a 2016 Nissan Frontier with a tow capacity of 6100#, I think it will easily tow this with ease and not put much strain on the truck, even in long distance trips.

Congratulations! We just purchased our first Jayco this year. We've had other trailers, but this is our first Jayco, and we love it. Just be sure to test everything!! Hot water heater, AC, Furnace, lights, ask lots of questions. Make sure you understand how everything works. The dump stations ect. Ask if the seller still has the owner manuals. There are PDI forms that are used when buying from a dealer on the internet. Download one of those, and it will give you a all the items you should check for.
And Good Luck!

Good luck - I consider having a camper some of the best money I've ever spent! The family bonding and memories created will last a lifetime.

That’s what I’m hoping for too! Seems pretty well priced, easily towable due to size and checks all of the boxes on our (wife’s) list! Haha
