Stabilizer problem

Arrived at campground tonight and found rear electric stabilizers will not go down. Motor runs but screw coupling sheer pin broken and will not turn the screw. I cranked them down manually.

I am very careful not to lift the TT. I stop when they begin to lift, this along with other, should be more durable parts, disappoints me in Jayco craftsmanship

Can I fix this myself, better than the cheapo Jayco way, or the same way. I see the have left in he coupling and the screw but what kind of sheer pin do I get?

Thanks

Sounds like the sheer pin did what it was supposed to do in the way of breaking to prevent motor damage. Even with the small amount of lift that was done when "you begin to lift" apparently was enough for the pins to sheer.

In any event, you may need to contact your local Jayco dealer parts department to get those sheer pins.

Do the stabilizers have a name or part number? You may have some luck with googling this and finding a link that points you in the direction of replacement parts, or a YouTube vid on replacement. Maybe even a thread or link on how to improve them.
