Steep driveway and equalizer hitch

Ill pick up my trailer Wed. and I bought an equalizer 4 hitch. My driveway isn't level so for about 10 feet the trailer will be higher than the truck, well, as soon as the trailer will enter the driveway.then after everything will be level again. Maybe im not clear at all.... ...

the driveway is in an incline, higher than the street.... cant expalin better with my lack of vocabulary in english

Should I or not remove the bar before backing up to avoid stressing the trailer frame or the hitch ?

thanks !!

We have the same thing ...inclined driveway.

No need to detach anything when backing up to it. Other than a sway bar, if you use one.

This is a great question. I am going into a hilly campground and this did not occur to me. Hopefully someone will know the answer. I'll probably unhook mine just in case.

well my neighbor just bought a jay flight 18??? His driveway is like mine and his trailer scraped the asphalt a bit while backing up, however I think the my whitehawk 24RBS frame is a bit taller...I surely hope so

your trailer might set taller, but it is longer too, you may have to install some casters at the back end to keep it from scraping
