A couple of trailers ago, I used a 4 inch plastic house gutter in the bottom of the bumper. Slid right in and then cut off a few inches for the hose connector to fit in the bumper.

Easy fix found…

Same problem with sewer hose getting stuck in square storage aka rear bumper. Read that this is quite common. Researched various alternatives: pvc pipe, tote in storage area, etc.

I’m guessing China didn’t get the measurements quite right when they decided to make a cheap copy and got the connectors sized a bit large.

Finally chose the cheap route and used my grinder and sander to shave off about 1/16” on each of the 4 flat surfaces on each female connector.

PROBLEM SOLVED!!!

My hose has lived in the bumper from 2010 till now and that’s 12 years and counting
