I totally get that, but we still enjoy the Jersey coast.

I wish. Alas, PA doesn't have reciprocal agreements with any state adjacent to the eastern part of PA. New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland - no reciprocal agreement. We do have reciprocal agreements with Ohio and West Virginia, but I never travel in that direction. Maybe I should.

earlyretirement, I just received a VIAIR, model 88p 12 volt compressor that I ordered from Amazon. I haven't used it yet so I can't offer any insight at this time. Before ordering, I searched on the forum here for threads regarding 12 volt compressors so that I could educate myself some more. There's a lot of good reading here and it was actually hard for me to narrow down which brand and model to order. Time will tell if I purchased a good one. Hope this helps!

Viair works great. I have the 400p-Rv model and wouldn't be without it. Takes my tires to 110psi without issue

After reading all these post I had to stop and think of everything that I carry... and my absolute BASIC kit would be this ....

1- Multi Bit screwdriver set
2- Ryobi cordless drill
3- Tape(s)
4- LARGE tarp (to cover trailer in case something leaks or punctures roof)
5- Craftsmen mini tool kit (sockets, wrenches and a personal spanner wrench)
However I do have flat head & pick head axes, folding army shovel, "some" plumbing supplies, electrical "stuff" 12v and 110v, bottle opener bolted to the frame for all my adult beverages and 10-12 tie down straps....

Thanks everyone for the tips. I just ordered it on Amazon. A bit on the pricey side but looks high quality.

Is there a portable air compressor that can put 50 psi in my TT. If so what brand and/or model.

Lot of good info here. Condensing everything I carry into a "5 must haves" for camping is easier said than done so #1 is cheating

1) Complete socket set + separate tool box. Everything from electrical and duct tape to hammers to WD40 to trailer wires and fuses to lashing wire to battery terminal post cleaner to a multi-tester. Basically based on 20 years of "towing stuff" and having that stuff break at one time or another. I also carry a hatchet in my truck and an 18v cordless drill

2) Portable jump starter / battery pack / air compressor / combo (this monster)

3) Bottle jack to go with my regular truck jack

4) Ropes of varying sizes including one strong enough to pull a truck / tow with

5) A good flashlight

After rereading, I suppose this is more about "stuff I have to carry if I'm towing something" than it is purely a camping list...

I usually think Harbor Freight has cheap stuff that doesn't work but someone jump started my TV with a compressor/jump he'd gotten at Harbor Frt. I have one now too and it does my tires to 50 psi, it's small, and I have jumpstarted someone with it. It's a 4 in 1 and I can't remember the name so will have to look (in the daytime!) but with one of their coupons, I think I only paid about $60 for it.

Here is the one that I use http:// http://t.harborfreight.com/1...not%20provided

Don't know that it's heavy duty enough for everyday use, but the occasional use that if gets (once or twice a year) it's been fine for me.
