Wink Towing

So this morning the DW is walking around the TT to inspect for any damage from the severe storms lastnight. As she was doing this she came across this warning label by the coupler. She asked me why our 197 could not be towed by a 1 ton or larger vehicle. Well.....I hate it when she asks me a question I do t have an answer for. So I'll ask the question here. Why can't we tow our 197 with a 1 ton truck? I'm not a towing expert by any means but I don't know why.

It says "do not tow this vehicle with a truck or van rated MORE then one ton" (I assume that would be larger then a 3500/350). As to why I have no idea other then it might shake it to pieces????.......

That about sums it up.

It's my understanding that do to the stiff & un-forgiving suspensions in the larger/heavier trucks there is the possibility of "road shock" being transfered to the light trailer frame which may compromise the integrity of the frame.
