The diagram is awesome! They didn't by chance send you more diagrams did they? How do you go about requesting a framing diagram from Jayco?

Oh, and BTW love your TV install.

Just got the framing and electrical diagrams for our 2022 JayFeather 25RB. Emailed a request to their customer service explaining that I'd like them for installing solar and a TV in bedroom. They sent them to my email about 2 hours later.

Thank you JaycoLovers! I sent in a request right now, hoping for a reply in a week or so.

Getting ready to install solar and I want to be able to route my wires around/through the framing.

Great! Have a good time planning and installing your solar. Of course...we'd all love to see pics.

May I ask, what size/type of screw did you use to go into the stud? Screwing into an exterior wall scares the heck out of me.

I had the same feelings about it.

To make sure I didn't select a fastener too long, I got an idea of the wall thickness by inspecting the window cut-out...then I backed off a 1/2" from my length measurement. I ended up using 1-3/4" long x 1/4" diameter SS lag screws. Tip...if you drill a pilot hole, put a drill stop on your drill bit so you don't go too deep!

Note that the backer-board placed inside the wall for mounting is just behind the wallboard (should be pressed up against it). Using a fastener longer than the combined thickness of your TV mount, wallboard and backer board isn't going to get you a stronger anchor. You only need to get through the wallboard and then through the backerboard to achieve the strongest anchor possible.
