Water filter

We bought last year a used 2011 Jayco 26.5 Superlite fifth wheel. I noticed that it has a water filter installed under the kitchen sink. How do you get to it to replace and will any water filter purchased fit or does it require a certain type?

It only filters water to the kitchen sink. It unscrews and is replaceable. Very expensive. Over $25.00. My rig came with a short hose to bypass it which I leave in place. I do my water filtering on the input to the rig with a less expensive filter arrangement.

I hook up one of these inline with my city water feed and pressure regulator. I replace it once per year at the beginning of the camping season or sooner if it gets plugged up which they do. Amazon.com: Camco 40045 TastePURE KDF Water Filter - 2 pack: Automotive

Is this the one you have? This one came with my Designer when new and I have never hooked it up. I use a whole RV filter that hooks up prior to water entering the RV?

If this is the one you want, send me your address via PM and I'll mail it to you. I'm tired of it being under my sink and I will never use it.

I would suggest installing the quick disconnect setup under the sink which simplifies removal for replacement or winterization.

We also use a whole house style filter before the city inlet.

The water at the sink tastes great obviating the need to bring cases of water.
