water tank drain cap and water

Do you always get a bit of water when you remove the cap ? like 1 or 2 cups ? maybe a bit more ?

I had multiple problems with that. It got worse. On one trip, the black tank filled up the line going back to the gray tank valve and weighed down the line until it was riding on the axle. It wore a hole in it and I had to deal with that on the side of a freeway. I also had another time where I pulled that cap and stuff came out at a campground. The dealer worked on it multiple times. After about a year, they finally got it fixed, but I use this now just in case.

A cup or two is a lot. We typically have a teaspoon or two. You might have some crude stuck in the slide gate. If you can get a spray wand up the sewer pipe, you might be able to blast the area clean.

Test: use a wood block (or two) at the dump station to ensure your empting the spill tube. Spend the time to ensure all is drained out at the end. After traveling, and you have two cups in the tube well there maybe an issue. I have found several dump station issues in the years camping. Also seen the drain not plumbed properly issues.
