I have used Meguiar’s RV/boat cleaner wax No. 50. It says it is for fiberglass as well as metal. It goes on easily and buffs out as simply as any liquid wax. I use it right over the decals and they look brand new. I know there are products like ceramic or poly that may be less work, but I’m old fashioned and stick with what works.

I use the Marine 31 Gel Wax on my metal siding, 6 years later still looks shiny new.

Wax is wax but Rejex is and was invented for aircraft but highly recommended for all surfaces. Most threads on here come out with more favoring Rejex that other brands.

Rejex.com for better info.

I checked it out…the high gloss finish that looks like it would be the product to use on a TT says quite authoritatively: “Not for sale or use in California.” Don’t know what’s in this stuff but looks like I’ll be sticking with Meguiar’s. Oh well.

Because it is not sold in the state of Californicatia does not mean it is bad, on the contrary. That commy state bans anything that is not approved by the people in San Francisco.

You probably will be stuck with a bunch of inferior products that can't clear Newsom's list.

I expect that last post which contains all truths to be banned and deleted.

I didn’t say it was bad. Just said I likely won’t be able to get/use it. No need to bash California, even though I know it’s popular these days.

I was born there and there are valid reasons for the bashing.

Basically California bans a lot of things that the rest of the world seems to be able to live with. So the point was being banned by California may mean little in the scheme of things. Flat out rejecting something for that reason without doing further research is not making educated decisions. If there is a good reason a product should be banned then yes but because the state of California alone rejects then no.

CAG, let me repeat (again): I didn’t “flat out reject” it, or even say it was bad. Heck, it may be the fountain of youth for all I know. I simply said it doesn’t look like I could get any without extraordinary efforts, so I won’t. Yep, California may be overprotective but I’ll survive without RejeX wax.

I've been waxing my aluminum-sided 26BH this week, and will finish up the last side this morning. I'm using Maguires liquid cleaner wax. It seems to do a good job, cleaning off black streaks, stuck-on contaminants and oxidized paint as I polish it off, and giving it a nice shine. Not overly expensive either, around $9.00.

I live in the People's Republic of California and I see nothing wrong or untrue said in that post.

So what did we decide was the Ministry of Vehicle Maintenance's approved wax for us proles? I do need some.

I am not sure there was a "decision" I think it is a case of what will ship to CA.

“Who me? Smuggle car wax? Preposterous.”

This whole discussion reminds me of the television commercial many years ago about the old lady who would get arrested by the customs agent for smuggling Red Rose tea into the country.
