Bad idea as the frame is high intense steel (automotive frame steel). Just bolt it with 5/16 or 8 mm bolts and nuts (is a little pain todo). Good Luck!

Yes but TIG welding uses very little heat. So the A frame should be ok. No?
Thanks
Paul

Maybe I should explain what I am trying to accomplish in a little more detail.
The Husky system that I purchased lift brackets are lining up with the LP tank brackets. I want to leave the tank in it’s current location.
So that is why I want to cut the top of the lift brackets and TIG weld them to the A frame.

Out dealer welded the brackets to our A-frame 6 years ago, as they always moved. They just spot welded it in a few places. It has not been and issue.

I tack welded my battery box supports onto the frame with my mig welder.

With steel that has high carbon content such as automotive frames you don't want to make long continuous welds.

But you can weld on them if you know what you're doing and do it properly........there's lots of items welded to the frame already.....

Thanks all. But I just realized that I am looking at this all wrong. I am going to make my own brackets that slide over and will clamp at the bottom. But while looking at this I have an other question now.
So when a WD system is used do I have to worry about that small frame getting bent when going through a larger deep in the road. Meaning front wheels of the are on high ground ground and back wheels on low ground while trailer is on high ground.

Lol. Probably a dumb question
