Is it ok to close up the awning if it’s damp? Newbie here😉

Its ok, if you must. But, open it when you get home or it will mildew and compress any leaves or crap that may be on it.

Please don't ask how I know.

Its gonna get wet anyways. Our last trip was dry. Drive home was dry. Parked it under our metal carport, where it is protected from falling precipitation. Took it out today to clean... it was dripping wet. I don't know how in the world it got so wet, being under cover.

I've let mine dry many times before rolling it up only to find it wet the next time it was deployed. Rain does that so all I do now is make sure all the crap is off of it before rolling up.

They are always wet! I just pulled mine put of the barn from winter storage, the first two wraps where wet. Did I mention they are always wet.

Sometimes I open it up at home and dry it out from time to time after it rains.

To remove the wet leaf litter, when we roll it up, I use my floor broom, and sweep the leading edge, as another pushed the retract button.
