Question What size ball on 184BH?

Does anyone know if I can use a 2" or 2 5/16" (or both) ball on a 184BH? I can't find any specs that specify what the trailer will accept. And if both is the answer, which is the better option? Thanks.

Both JayFlights I have owned are 2 5/16".

I have never heard of a situation where any coupler could use more than one size ball.

Yeah, I'm just not sure. I'm looking at a WDH and I have to choose one of those size balls.

My 195RB uses a 2" ball so I'm pretty sure that the 184BH would be the same.

Only one way to know for sure:

Drive over to the dealer and look at the hitch on Your Trailer. It'll be stamped on the coupler.

Only the correct size ball will work.

Dang, wish I had looked earlier. I didn't realize it was stamped right on there. Sounds like the odds are it is a 2" ball, but I'll double check. Thanks.

Well, yes and no. Several years ago I stopped to see if an older gent needed help. He was parked near a trailered sea-doo. Turns out he was using a too small ball. To make it worse he didn't bother to hitch the chains. He was lucky as nothing serious happened, it rode along the road then into the soft shoulder.

Against my advice (and another person who stopped) he left with it once again ... on the too small ball - BUT with the chains crossed tightly. I went the other way.
