whats in the wall?? (another drilling question)

I built some small wood shelves for the rear corners of my BH TT. They will be used just to place a phone/glasses etc on but Im courious when i go to secure them into wall whats actually in there. when i tap on the wall (both sides in the corner) sounds like sheetmetal of sorts with a echo-e sound. will i need anchors? I will predrill but sounds like metal, this correct? oh, when im done, i will post up some pics in the mod forum. thanks!

Sounds like a job for sheet rock screws if you can hide the heads. Thats what i used for the light duty coat rack,. Larry

Unless you hit the aluminum framing you will be going into a thin, thin piece of wall panel and foam.

yea hit nothing but thin panel, no stud. It not a big deal since my corner bed shelves are about 5" in length down each wall. i used stainless screws that seems to grip the panel OK, time will tell.

If you email Jayco with the Model number they will send you the wall schematic showing the entire wall with all the studs and braces.
