Which Electric Tongue Jack?
Ok looking at adding an electric tongue jack to my 165 sport, which one should I go with? How do they wire in and are they dependable? Do they all have a hand crank back up? I have a two car carport and my camper wouldn't fit, I have to swap out my hitch to an exteme drop hitch just to back it in storage but it fits, which requires swapping back hitches just to tow, which results in 2 times the cranking. I think an electric jack would be nice.

I installed an Atwood 3500 on our X23B (now gone) and had no issues with it in the 2 years we used it. The 3500 was overkill but it sure made the "hitch" easy. It would easily lift the tongue and rear of the TV so I could set the spring bars without any effort.
To my knowledge they should all have a manual crank. Installation was a snap, 3 bolts (which was also the ground) and a single hot wire with fuse that attaches to the 12V at the battery. Our battery had a single wire coming out of the batt box that was connected to the break-away switch and 12V service (with 30A fuse) to the fuse/converter box with a wire nut. I added the jack wire to the bundle, got a larger wire nut and wrapped it well with electrical tape. We were good to go in less than an hour.
The only issue was the bunk would just touch the top of the jack when there was 300# or so in the bunk since the Atwood was a little tall. There was never any damage so I let it alone. For us the front bunk was the "guest room" and the aft bunk was the "owner's cabin".

We picked up a husky brute on amazon. Installation was a breeze. As RedHorse said, single wire to the battery and three screws to the frame. Don't forget when picking out the weight rating on the jack, get an oversized one since if you have a WDH, you will need some extra jacking power when putting the bars on.

I've had 2 Atwood 3500 jacks and both have been great. The first was factory option, the second I installed. Installation was a breeze, maybe 45 min including the trip to the store for a ring terminal.

I've always liked the Atwood. If you ever have to manually crank it, insert the included crank and it is a breeze. It is what most RV manufacturers install as a factory option.
My dealer installed a Bulldog on one of my RVs and the plastic bottle cover would barely fit over it. To manually crank it, you had to remove a plug on top and use a ratchet & socket and way too much muscle.

The Atwoods look painfully slow are they ok? I guess it's better than cranking. Maybe I'm lazy but they look neat.

Mine certainly doesn't seem slow to me. It's picking up a lot of weight too, 1k TW plus the rear of my duramax. It's considerably faster than hand cranking.

Get the biggest jack you can then when you do upgrade take it with you swapping out the one on the new RV.

Dealer replaced the one on my TT with the Atwood 3500 under warranty. No issues so far. It is a lot quicker than the original
