White Hawk water heater issue

I have had my White Hawk DSRL for 2 months now, and am having some trouble with the electric side of the water heater. If the gas switch is illuminated red, it is on, however the inverse seems to be true for the electric. At first I thought it did not work, and had it off only to find that I had hot water. Any thoughts? Is this normal?

Entirely normal. The red light only functions when running the water heater on LP. Just a guess, but I think it's purpose is to let you know the electric ignition for gas use is functioning. I have the same trailer, and would guess the same water heater. Our previous trailer (fifth wheel) did the same thing.

I have a 2014 White Hawk and when my electric switch is red, I have hot water. When it's not illuminated, I don't.

We have a 12 Whitehawk 27DSRL and the rocker switch for the electric side of the water heater is illuminated when the power is on to the water heater.

I have a 2013 whitehawk, switch is illuminated Red at all times when electric element switch is in 'ON' postion.

That's when mine seems to be off.
