I was wondering if one of you 28DSBH owners could peer into your battery box and let me know how the battery is connected. I have a green wire with an inline fuse and a white wire. Not sure which is positive or negative, We have an early build 2104 model.

pretty sure the one w/the in-line fuse is going to be positive.

If you look at the white wire it will be screwed into the trailer frame that will be your ground.

Interesting. I am really hoping that someone can double check. When we picked it up from the dealer last May, the battery was hooked up with the white cable connected to the positive. I kept blowing the inline fuse, and I couldn't figure out why. I was planning on taking it in this spring, but if someone with the same unit could verify that the inline fuse should be positive, then I could try that first and save the 1.5 hr drive each way.

I attached some photos and hope they come out clearly.

I have a 2x12v parallel setup on our 28DSBH, and the white wire is clearly on the negative terminal.

I'd guarantee that white is negative (ground) on an RV. And if it blows the fuse (white as negative), I'd put a meter on the battery. Strange thing is, I've seen a battery with polarity reversed. It had become so dead that when it was hooked up backwards and recharged the battery's positive became negative. Seriously. It wasn't mislabeled from factory (because post size is different too).

I blew the fuse too and couldn't figure it out. I have since learned that if you hold the electric jack switch too long once you've reached the top or bottom, it blows the fuse. Apparently a problem Jayco has had.

I read that recently about the jack. I have everything hooked up correctly and will be heading out Sunday on out next trip. I will stop the jack a couple inches short on the "Stop" line and see what happens.
