Whitehawk 30DSRE Discontinued - disappointing...

I have a 2013 30DSRE and was so glad to find a traditional trailer designed for large living space. So many are laid out to sleep families and kids. My daughter is grown and my wife and I are a long way from retirement. So we didn't want to pay the higher price of a fifth wheel but did want more space for living and not feeling cramped. The queen bedroom with a solid door and tucked behind the bathroom is great so I can stay up while not bothering my wife who tends to go to sleep a lot earlier than me.

It was not easy to find a trailer designed this way and I was disappointed to see Jayco discontinue this model. I'm just glad I bought one when I did. It appears the 30DSRE was only in production for 2013 and 2014.

It's been about 1.5 years with the 30DSRE now and we've been very happy with it. One thing I like about having a traditional trailer is that my 8 foot truck bed is completely available to haul camping equipment, tools, firewood, etc.

Mine is a 2014 that we got may 13. Love it. Was told that Jayco discontinued the 30dsre because it was stealing volume from similar models in other Jayco lines. In any regard, I'm glad we got ours when we did. Love it for the same reasons you mention. Just the wife and I and the living space is unbelievable. Plenty of streaching out room for us and the 2 dogs. Haven't really found anything that we would change to the design or layout. Plan on keeping ours forever.

We seriously considered the 30DSRE, and would probably have one if Jayco had continued to make them. That said, we're thrilled with our 29REKS!

Bought the 2014 30DSRE in early 2015, we love it and so does everybody who visits. Thanks for the info on it being discontinued
