Why I like my Hummingbird

Why I like my Hummingbird. 2 new Goodyear tires ( mounted & balanced) , 2 brake assemblies, 4 wheel bearings ( 2inner/2outer ), 2 wheel bearing seals, 2 cotter pins and one tube Lucas red wheel bearing grease— $750.00– labor $00.00 ( DW won’t pay me or anyone else to do it ). This is almost an affordable hobby. Getting ready to leave on a 6 or 7 week road trip in the middle of September ( Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona). Just trying to head off any OH SH#& moments!

Yup the little TTs go everywhere
we put over 120,000 miles on trips from Maine to Florida multiple times
Maine to CA
Maine to AZ
Maine to Alaska
and back
The mileage sometimes hurt but never below 13 mpg

Single axle trailer did result in an o crap moment on the Yellowhead highway east of Jasper AB when a tire blew on a two lane 110 kph highway with no shoulder and no traffic assistance
Our new trailer has more mass but dual axles which might be safer on gravel or narrow roads infested with logging trucks Service centers are 500 miles apart
