We almost got one of the X213's... The TOP BUNK doesnt really have much room on it with the slope of the trailer top. The couple I have seen on the road usually just used the top bunk for storage.

my 7 year old climbs up no problem... the bunks are much bigger on the x213 than they were a few years ago.

Our 8 Y.O. Son chooses and loves the top bunk. We use the lower bunk for storage. He even prefers to sleep with his head at the far end behind the bathroom. They are twin size beds, and seem plenty big for kids. He can get up there without a ladder but I bought one anyway. Easier and safer to get down and to make the bed. I still can't believe they don't come with ladders or the light/fan for the king slide.

I can't believe there isn't a window for the top bunk. I find it gets warm up there when my 5 year old is sleeping for a few hours. I generally leave the curtain open after we go to bed so they get lots of fresh air.
